Video Insight Support | IP Server Installation FAQ's

The following are common questions we receive about the IP Server installation. If you have any other issues, please contact technical support.

Common Support Questions:

How do I install the IP Server?

Insert the Video Insight Installation CD. The installation autorun will begin automatically. If you are downloading the IP Server software from the web site, click on Setup.exe. After accepting the license agreement, highlight Video Insight IP Camera Server and click next.

How do I activate the software?

Once installed double click on the icon on the upper left of the desktop. You will be prompted to activate the Video Insight IP Server.

IP Server Activation

Call us at 713-621-9779 with the Hardware Code listed in orange letters. This activation is machine specific and must be done on the server that you plan on running the IP Server on. Once activated that server is ready to use. Video Insight also gives you the option of installing a demo version of the software. To install the demo version select the Demo Mode option on the Activation Screen.

What are the IP Server Requirements?

You can setup the IP Server to run on the same system as the Video Insight Analog Server or to run on a standalone system. It's compatible with any PC that runs Microsoft Windows 2000, XP or 2003 operating systems. In most situations, the IP Server is running on the same system as the Video Server and therefore the same requirements are followed. For more information, please read the System Requirements page.
